Kanayo Software has successfully attained pre-qualified vendor status for the Alberta Home Telehealth Initiative. After an extensive open competition, Kanayo was one of only four companies chosen. Kanayo's Home Telehealth Solution enables patients suffering from one or more chronic conditions to be monitored and managed within the comforts of their own home. Patient vital signs data such as blood pressure, blood sugar, oxygen and weight are automatically recorded and communicated through a home based "hub" to Kanayo's proprietary web based Chronic Disease Management and Decision Support Module. This back end module is used by clinicians to provide effective and timely care while reducing the burden, to both the patient and the health care provider alike, for visits to physician offices or costly stays in institutional hospitals.
