Kanayo is selected by a large national EMR vendor to expand previous development work of Clinical Content for the Canadian market. The work involves developing evidence-based forms, flowsheets, patient educational handouts and reports for Congestive Heart Failure, Hypertension and Diabetes.

Michael Heller - President

Heller has over 20 years of experience with all aspects of software research and development. He has extensive experience and expertise in a managerial and operations capacity as a Chief Operating Officer, Chief Technology Officer and corporate CEO and President. He has been directly responsible for the development of large scale applications for the oil and gas industry with customers including Shell International, Mobil, Petro Canada and ARCO. Research oriented applications included development of an advanced software tool kit for high performance or parallel processing computers and an award winning communications program - BackMail.


Ray Sweidan - Chief Executive Officer

Sweidan is responsible for directing Kanayo's product research and development efforts. Sweidan brings over 15 years of engineering and technology development and management experience to Kanayo. Sweidan received his Master of Mathematics degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, and his master's degree in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Mass. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering summa cum laude from Bucknell University.


Mark McManus - Senior Director of Software Development

McManus is one of the principal developers of Kanayo’s HealthGraph Community website. His direct areas of expertise include object oriented programming, Internet based application development and software engineering.


Garth Smedley - Chief Software Architect

Smedley brings to our team over 20 years of IT experience with a strong background in the development of new applications and successful management of complex IT projects. His proficiency in the creation and maintenance of technical standards and processes as a software architect has led to success in the development of Pictorius Inc.'s java-based jNet application development framework, OEOne Inc.'s LINUX-based operating environment for personal computers and the creation and delivery of PDA-based medical informatics software.


Michael DeCoffe - Quality Assurance Manager

DeCoffe is responsible for defining and implementing testing standards, procedures, and scenarios as well as for providing support to customer base. Mike is also responsible for server configuration, software deployment and maintenance of all product releases.


Michael Hackett - Senior Software Developer

Hackett is responsible for managing our Linux/Unix environments, particularly for web and SCM services. He is also part of the team creating mobile telehealth and online personal health care solutions.


Matt Clark - Lead Software Developer

Clark brings over eight years of web application development experience using numerous languages and technologies. In the past, he has lead development of enterprise-class software related to intelligence gathering and analysis in the oil & gas and mining industries. At Kanayo he has had the opportunity to develop embedded software for medical devices and pioneer new technologies for clinical web interfaces.
